GBC Pokemon Yellow Cool ROMAfter the release of the original Game Boy in 1989, Nintendo took nine more years to create and release the color version of its handheld game console, Game Boy Color. As its name suggests, the major improvement with Game Boy Color was the new color screen. The improved Game Boy Color also was designed a little thicker and taller than the original version, but still contained the same 8-bit processor.
Game Boy and Game Boy Color have been incredibly successful worldwide, with over 118 million sold. It was discontinued in 2003, once the Game Boy Advance was developed, but its games remain wildly popular. In particular, the Pokemon Game series had created a huge following that continues to grow.
The Pokemon franchise started out as a game for the original Gameboy. It has grown to include a number of video games, trading cards, animated shows and movies, comics, toys and more. The Super Mario franchise is the only one more successful than Pokemon. This year, in 2016, the Pokemon franchise celebrates twenty years, and isn’t losing any momentum as the years pass by.

The Creation of GBC Pokemon Yellow Cool ROM

Over the years, a number of different editions of the Pokemon game have been created, giving players the chance to go through different storylines and adventures. The main goal of the Pokemon series has been to capture and train as many Pokemon as possible, using them to battle and defeat your opponents along the way.
The GBC Pokemon Yellow Cool ROM was Pokemon game number three released for Gameboy Color in 1998. It was a very close replica to the red and blue games, but also incorporated color and made a large number of references to the anime versions of Pokemon. This version is actually the only one of the original three to be created in color for the Game Boy Color console.
Even though they don’t compare to the newest Pokemon game versions, at the time of its release, the graphics and gameplay of GBC Pokemon Yellow Cool ROM were highly advanced and top of the line. This edition is essentially a melding of the red and blue game versions with content adapted from the Pokemon anime series.
One simple, but quite impactful feature of this GBC Pokemon Yellow Cool ROM version of the game, which is different than the red and blue versions, is that you won’t have an opportunity to select which starting Pokemon you’ll be able to use. In red and blue, much like in pretty much every other Pokemon game, you get a choice between three starter Pokemon, but not in this game version.
When you begin this game, you will be saved by Professor Oak, who will give you your first Pokemon to start your journey. You won’t have a choice of the Pokemon you will get, and you will only have the option of using Pikachu as your starting Pokemon. This could pose a problem for you from the beginning of the game, where the first Gym you do battle in will have a rock type Pokemon. The problem is that the rock Pokemon are immune to Pikachu’s electricity, so you’re highly unlikely to win this battle.
This battle can be won and the Gym leader Brock beaten by evolving a Butterfree from either a Caterpie or Metapod. When your Butterfree is able to learn confusion, you’ll be able to use it against the rock type Pokemon to pretty easily defeat him. This is likely the only move you will be able to win this battle with so early in the game.

Once you are past this difficult start, you will then travel to Cerulean City and Vermillion where you will get all three starter Pokemon. You will also run into two Team Rocket members, Jessie and James. They have got their Pokemons with them, but they don’t put up much of a battle for you to get through.
If you have had the chance to play Pokemon red and blue before, this GBC Pokemon Yellow Cool ROM will be a fun, challenging and interesting version of the game for you. If you have not played either of those game versions, this edition may be a little too difficult, especially this tough start to the game.
GBC Pokemon Yellow Cool ROM, much like the entire series of Pokemon games, allows you to play the game as a trainer with the objective of the game being to capture and train Pokemon and earn badges through battles. Even for those who are not die hard Pokemon fans, it will be a really fun game to play.
As you make your way through the game, you will see that there are some subtle differences between the different versions of the game, but essentially it’s very similar with some color added, along with new sprites and Pokemon locations.
Although the GBC Pokemon Yellow Cool ROM is a first generation Pokemon game, the storyline is different, so there is a good reason to have both this game and either the red or blue version as well. As the third version of the Pokemon game in the series, the GBC Pokemon Yellow Cool ROM is very similar to the previous red and blue game editions with one big difference – this game is in color. With this game, at the time of its creation, the graphics were the best that could be created at the time, even though they can’t compare to the advancements made in games since then.
For those who are avid Pokemon fans, this is a great version of the original game editions. It has got a lot of similarities to the classic versions that fans came to know and love, with some great improvements. And, it is completely justifiable to have both the GBC Pokemon Yellow Cool ROM version as well as either the red or blue versions as well, since the differences between the games make each a different playing experience.
